Deep-Well Solar Pumps
Submersible solar pumps for boreholes and deep wells. No grid, no generator, no fuel run — sun on the panel, water at the tank.
Proven in Burkina Faso
Submersible pumps that lift water from deep boreholes on sunlight alone — the product our sister company sells hardest in Burkina Faso, where the water table is far down and the grid is not there at all.
Our sister company, Buy-US Solar SARL, sells and services this class of equipment in West Africa, in heat and dust and without a grid to fall back on. That is the standard we import against. What “field-proven” means here →
Use cases
What people use these for.
- Livestock wateringFill stock tanks at a remote well without trenching power to it or hauling a generator out every week.
- Storage and gravity tanksFill a cistern or header tank during daylight and draw from it on gravity afterwards, for non-potable use.
- Small-farm irrigationMove water from a borehole to a header tank during daylight and irrigate on gravity afterwards.
- Continuity for stock and irrigation waterNon-potable watering that keeps running when the grid is down, because it never depended on the grid.
Non-potable applications only. We do not offer or describe any pump on this site as suitable for drinking water. Drinking-water use in the US depends on certification of the wetted materials and on state and local acceptance, none of which we claim. [TIM/VERIFY: NSF/ANSI 61, lead-free status and state acceptance — unresolved; no potable marketing until confirmed.]

Every value marked [TIM] is a placeholder. Real figures will be published only once they are confirmed against the manufacturer’s datasheet and our own field results. We would rather show you a blank than a number we cannot stand behind.
Questions
Frequently asked
How deep a well will these pumps handle?
That depends on the model and on your static and pumping water levels. We publish a maximum head figure per model — see the spec table above, which is not filled in yet — and we size against your actual well report rather than a rule of thumb. Send us your well log with a quote request and we will tell you plainly whether we have a pump for it.
Do I need batteries?
For most water applications, no. The usual design is to pump into a storage tank while the sun is up and draw from the tank at night, which is cheaper and simpler than storing the energy in a battery. Batteries make sense when you need pressure on demand around the clock; we can quote either way.
What size solar array do I need?
It scales with the pump, the lift and how much water you want per day. We will size the array as part of your quote. The recommended array wattage per model will appear in the spec table once confirmed.
What happens when the well runs dry?
Dry-run protection is intended to stop the pump before it damages itself. The exact method varies by model and controller — we will confirm it per unit before we quote, rather than describe it generically here.
Can I use one of these for drinking water?
No — we do not offer any pump on this site for potable or domestic drinking-water supply. Whether a pump is suitable for drinking water depends on certification of its wetted materials and on state and local acceptance. [TIM/VERIFY: NSF/ANSI 61 certification, lead-free compliance and state acceptance — all unresolved.] Until that is confirmed in writing, we will not describe any model as potable-rated, and you should treat these as livestock, irrigation and general non-potable pumps.
Who installs it?
Use qualified trades. A licensed well or pump contractor should handle the downhole work, and a licensed electrician should handle the wiring and disconnects. Well construction and electrical work are permitted and inspected by your local authority having jurisdiction, and requirements vary by state and county — check with them before you start. We are not an installation company and we do not design to code on your behalf; we supply the equipment, the sizing and the manufacturer’s documentation. Installer referrals: [TIM: do we have any US installer relationships yet?]
How is it shipped, and how long does it take?
Units ship from our manufacturing partner in India directly to your address. Current lead time: [TIM: typical door-to-door lead time in weeks]. Shipping cost is quoted with the unit.
What if it fails?
The warranty term and process are being finalised for the US market — see [TIM: warranty terms] above. We would rather state this once, precisely, than promise something vague now.

The rest of the system.
Installation is a job for qualified trades. We supply equipment, sizing and the manufacturer’s documentation — not installation. Wiring should be done by a licensed electrician, well and pump work by a licensed well or pump contractor, and permits and inspection are set by your local authority having jurisdiction. Requirements vary by state and county; confirm yours before you order.
